Where pipelines can't reach, it gets there first.
In some places, natural gas pipelines haven't been laid yet — emerging towns, suburban industrial zones, rural communities far from the pipeline network. These places need clean, stable energy too. They can't wait, and they don't have to. Because when a tube trailer arrives, the problem is solved. And between the tube trailer and the end user, there is one piece of equipment that silently completes the most critical step — the CNG Decompression Skid.
So what does it do? The natural gas delivered by the tube trailer is at a pressure of 20–25 MPa. No terminal equipment can use that pressure directly. It must go through two or three stages of precise pressure reduction to safely and stably bring it down to the pressure range required by the user before it can actually be "used." That's the job of the CNG decompression skid. In addition to pressure regulation, it also integrates functions such as heating, metering, and odorization — one skid-mounted unit completes the entire gas supply treatment process. It may not look impressive, but what it connects is the cooking and heating of thousands of homes, the continuous operation of factory production lines, and the last line of defense for a city's energy system.
01 Town Gas Gasification Stations — Bringing Clean Energy to "Pipeline Blind Spots"
Suburban new districts, emerging towns, villages where the pipeline network has not yet extended — the gasification needs of these places are real, but waiting for a pipeline to be laid takes years, sometimes longer. The CNG decompression skid provides a faster path. The tube trailer delivers the gas, the decompression skid brings the pressure down, and the gas is fed into the medium-pressure distribution network — solving the cooking, heating, and commercial gas needs of residents all at once. "Town by town, village by village" is no longer a distant vision.
02 Direct Supply to Industrial Users — The Clean Transformation Exit for High Energy-Consuming Enterprises
Glass, ceramics, brick kilns, steel, food processing… Factories in these industries are often located near raw material sources or logistics hubs, far from the city pipeline network, but their demand for fuel never stops. The CNG decompression skid can provide a dedicated gas supply solution for these factories: high-pressure natural gas is unloaded from the tube trailer, regulated by the decompression skid, and sent directly into the kiln or boiler, replacing coal and heavy oil. Fuel costs go down, emission targets are met, and environmental compliance is no longer a challenge.
03 Emergency and Peak-Shaving Gas Supply — That Cold Winter Night, It Held the Line
Every winter is the most stressful time for a city's gas pipeline network. Gas consumption surges, pipeline pressure drops, and if not handled properly, it means large-scale supply outages. Cities that plan ahead have already prepositioned CNG decompression skids at key nodes. When pipeline pressure is insufficient, the tube trailer is connected, the decompression skid goes to work immediately, and high-pressure natural gas is fed into the pipeline network — heating stays on, factories keep running, the city functions normally. No one notices it's there. But precisely because it is there, nothing goes wrong.
04 L-CNG Refueling Stations — One Station, Two Fuels, Greater Operational Flexibility
In an L-CNG refueling station, after the LNG from the storage tank is vaporized by the high-pressure vaporizer, it still needs to go through a CNG decompression skid for pressure regulation before it can reach the working pressure required by the CNG dispenser and properly fuel CNG vehicles. This process connects the two supply modes of LNG and CNG, allowing one refueling station to serve both types of vehicles simultaneously, greatly enhancing operational flexibility. The CNG decompression skid is the indispensable link in this system.
Everything is Customizable, Tailor-Made for You
No two projects are exactly alike. Every project has its unique operating conditions, site constraints, and budget boundaries. That's why we never use a fixed template. All of the following parameters can be customized according to your actual needs:
Customization Dimension | Parameter Range |
Inlet Pressure | Up to 25 MPa |
Outlet Pressure | 0.01 MPa to 4.0 MPa (or even lower) |
Flow Capacity | 20 Nm³/h to 3000 Nm³/h and above |
Heating Method | Electric heating / Water bath heating / Steam heating |
Number of Regulation Trains | One duty + one standby / Two duty + one standby |
Control System | Brand and level of intelligence are optional |
No matter how special the requirements, we can provide an answer that truly fits.
