What is a CNG Daughter Station?

Simply put, a CNG Daughter Station is an independent, compact Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) refueling unit. It does not connect directly to long-distance main gas pipelines. Instead, functioning like a flexible “energy outpost,” it receives high-pressure natural gas delivered by CNG transport trailers from a central Mother Station and provides refueling services for local CNG vehicles or industrial equipment.

When the pressure in the high-pressure bank drops below a preset value (e.g., 20MPa, adjustable), the station's compressor automatically starts to draw gas directly from the transport trailer to refill the high-pressure bank, creating a continuous refueling cycle.

The entire process is automatically controlled by a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and touch screen, making operation simple and intuitive, ensuring an optimal balance between refueling efficiency and system safety. Some models come standard with a generating set, providing self-sufficient power for reliable operation even in areas with weak grid infrastructure.
